MMR Events Management Team

MMR believes that a need exists for a company that can bring events, products and information to owners of special interest cars. To that end we have assembled a team of talented specialists who are involved with the sport and who can assist manufacturers, sponsors and enthusiasts realize their motorsports goals.

The following is a brief profile of each member of the MMR team.

Profile: Peter Bourassa – President: Motorsports Marketing Resources

Peter Bourassa, founder and principal owner of MMR, is a passionate enthusiast. His vision of a multi faceted resource base for enthusiasts of high performance automobiles and motorcycles fuels the Motorsports Marketing Resources (MMR) company. Owner of a Ferrari and several Ducati motorcycles, he lives the dream. In his youth he worked the races as a tech for the Champion Spark Plug Company. He also held a national drivers license with CASC, the Canadian equivalent SCCA, a CMA and AMA motorcycle license, and attended driving schools and participated in race events Mosport, Le Circuit, Trois Rivieres, Watkins Glen, Lime Rock, NHIS, Summit Point and Road Atlanta. He has been involved in a sales management capacity with Ducati, Laverda and Suzuki. For the past thirty years he has been a successful marketing and sales executive in the automotive aftermarket parts industry. MMR is his dream.

Profile: Paul Varadian – Director of Events Management

Like the remainder of our team, Paul has been a sports car enthusiast for years. His passion is cars and wooden boats and he has owned Ferraris, Lamborghinis, and other exotics for over 20 years. He has organized large exotic car exhibitions and serves as chief judge at concours events. He currently owns a strategic marketing management company that develops unique marketing programs for Fortune 500’s. He competed for the USA in summer and winter sports and has visited more than 75 countries in his administrative involvement with the Olympic movement which continues today. His creative vision and organizational skills are unparalleled. We are thrilled that he is the Director of our Events Management Division.

Profile: Mike Covello – Editor

Mike Covello is more than a writer who writes about cars, motorcycles and Motorsports. Mike is a Motorsports writer. Period. Mike gets it, and when you read his stories you’ll see what we mean. He has written books including The Standard Catalog of Ferraris. Mike writes for magazines, such as Automobile Quarterly, AutoWeek, Vintage Motorsports Forza, and reviews new cars for dozens of national newspapers. He comes by the passion honestly, having been the parts manager at the tender age of 20 for legendary Luigi Chinetti Motors, the East Coast Ferrari distributor. Chinetti was a business partner of Enzo Ferrari and founded NART, Ferrari’s North American Racing Team. Mike was there.

Profile : Susana Weber – Graphics Designer

Susanna Weber is an artist, Porsche Club of America driving instructor, a motorsports enthusiast who tracks a Porsche GT3 and the owner of a successful graphics company, Tattoo Communications. We are thrilled to have a person of her abilities and talent on our team. Incidentally, her helmet designs are simply the best on the planet.

Profile: Maria E. Writesel - Public Relations

Maria Writesel brings a strong communications, marketing and public relations background to our team. She founded SUCCESS Communications, Inc. in January of 2000 to provide senior level marketing, public relations, event management, and community relations services to her clients. With established contacts in the motor sports media space, Maria has established a proven track record of consistently achieving her clients’ marketing and public relations objectives and has established a specialty area of expertise in the collector’s motorcars sector.
